IUP Arles M2 Fall Course
Overview, Requirements, and Grading Criteria
I.
Overview:
In this class, which I hope will be as dynamic, interesting, and fun as possible, the main focus will be: a) your
dream project with written reviews of it by the audience; b)
weekly discoveries project about important current issues in culture and
beyond;
II.
Course
requirements and organization: A. Presentation of your dream project—if
possible as a PowerPoint presentation—I have reserved the video-projector for
class: You must explain all of the practical and technical details, such as 1) the
people you contacted by e-mail or Skype (show the class your exchange of e-mail messages), budget, timeline, communication plan, possible sources of
funding; B. List of your weekly
discoveries with a one-paragraph overall analysis of them or focus on one of
them--you do not have to do this the week you have you make your Dream Project
Final Presentation). In theory, two students will be asked to present one or
two of their discoveries every week in class. This work must be done every week.
C. Snacks = socializing in English: 2 people per class/week: we end Group A 10
minutes early and start Group B 10 minutes late so that nobody is penalized.
